(Click on the photos below for more product information.)
If you are looking for an all terrain wheel chair, the National Center on Accessibility (NCA) is an excellent resource to use as you begin your research process.A collaborative effort between the National Park Service and Indiana University, the non-profit organization features on its website, www.ncaonline.org, a wide variety of manual and powered models, along with color photographs, descriptions, and dimensions.NCA does not sell, promote or endorse any products and publishes information on all terrain models and other mobility equipment as a service to site visitors. The organization has positioned itself to serve as a catalyst to promote: - Awareness of inclusion of people with disabilities in parks, recreation and tourism
- The spirit and intent of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Rehabilitation Act and other disability legislation.
In addition to the NCA, a simple web search will yield a variety of sites that feature mobility chairs and products that may serve your recreational interests. As with all mobility equipment, carefully evaluate models based on functionality, fit and comfort, available servicing, access to parts, portability, and warranties. Read product reviews (online and offline). And, whenever possible, talk with people who have bought the model you are considering to ascertain satisfaction levels.
